My stomach turns one last time,
so pathetic
my attempts were all in vain
i'll regret it later
and filled with tears of doubt
i sit on the steps
a lifetime of good intentions
left to wilt away on a shelf
the sky was broken
and the wind, it bled
i came here worn and tattered
i wait callous and apathetic
but somehow
somehow i can't seem to breath
(useless in my ignorance)
can't seem to let you go
(seeing your face before my eyes)
can't bare the thought of living this way
(alone in the silence)

so i guess its time to go inside
and finally let this wound take hold
I'll find a bottle
and you find a blade
i'll drink to my loneliness
while you bleed to the pain
bottle up my illness and cut out my tounge
then sleep to the sound
of fetid breath filling our lungs
don't lie to yourself,
the dawn will bring only loss
